Night-time Piste-Basher Ride.

A really special adventure. Up and down the mountain with 430 HP, and at night! In Zermatt you can hitch a ride on a piste-basher doing its nightly grooming rounds. For free!

Light on the Horizon.

Anyone who owns a phone can make an impact on Zermatt's skyline - and, at the same time, do something for a good cause. Three coloured lights can be activated per telephone. A charity action organised by the Yeti Club, active on behalf of mountain guide families rendered destitute.

Home of the Four-Thousanders.

Zermatt is open for skiing all year round. With 20 kilometres of pistes, it is Europe's highest and largest year-round ski area. In the winter, it turns into 350 kilometres of slopes of all difficulty grades, right up to 3,900 metres above sea level. Plus downhill runs for freeriders and touring skiers.

The glass dome next to the church in Zermatt leads down into the Matterhorn Museum. It shows the old, 18th century Zermatt, when the first mountain tourists came to the poor mountain village. With modern museum technology, the Matterhorn myth is brought to life and resurrected.
