All fans of winter sports can look forward to a thrilling competition between 1 December 2016 and 30 April 2017, in which participants not only take plenty of unique memories home with them but can also win several very attractive prizes.

The Grand Hotel Park in Gstaad belongs to the Leading Hotels of the World and Swiss Deluxe Hotels. On its centenary in 2010, it was given a magnificent renovation – the result; authentic and contemporary and, of course, luxurious down to the last detail.

Gstaad Palace *****S.

100 years ago, in 1913, the Gstaad Palace was opened. Today it belongs to the Leading Hotels of the World, Swiss Deluxe Hotels and Leading Spas. Under the management of the Scherz family, it has constantly been adapted to remain up-to-date and yet it still exudes the charm of days gone by.

Chalet 1977.

This large chalet, with an area of more than 500 m² , which has already been photographed by Elle Déco, Architectural Digest and House & Garden, will satisfy even the highest design demands. In addition, the view from this chalet, which was built in 1977, is completely unspoiled.

Bergrestaurant Eggli.

The Eggli is a veritable restaurant with 250 seats plus 200 on the sun terrace. You can take the cable car, which is just a couple of minutes from the town centre, up to this mountain restaurant which is a real institution. Typical Swiss and international cuisine is served here.

Wasserngrat.

The Wasserngrat is the highest mountain cabin in Saanenland with fabulous views from the sun terrace down to Gstaad and to the mountain peaks all around. Local recipes, but with a cosmopolitan twist, are prepared here.

Refuge l‘Espace.

The Refuge l’Espace grips like an eagle’s nest directly above the edge of the Quille du Diable rock at an altitude of nearly 3000m. Accordingly, the view is spectacular and the cuisine is well-cooked and straightforward.

Bernerhof.

The Bernerhof actually offers four restaurants and they are all interesting alternatives in the gourmet paradise that is Gstaad. Toque-cuisine is offered and then there is an Italian restaurant and a sophisticated Chinese restaurant – both vegetarians and vegans are pampered here, too.

Chesery von Robert Speth.

Since 1984, Robert Speth has made the Chesery the last word in restaurants in the town. He has cooked himself point upon point with his ambitious and yet simple cuisine – in the meantime, a total of 18 Gault-Millau points. In 1998, a Michelin star was added to this and, in 2005, he was voted the Swiss Chef of the Year.

Erich Baumer’s Sonnenhof.

The Sonnenhof is an unpretentious restaurant with a confident air. The view from the restaurant over Gstaad is fantastic and Erich Baumer’s uncomplicated cuisine more than impressive. Guests enthuse about the service organised by Louise Baumer, too.

16 Art Bar Restaurant.

In Saanen, a hop, skip and a jump from Gstaad, the Buchs family have realised their vision of a perfect restaurant. A select, varying menu, an open fireplace with a grill, as well as a high-quality selection of wines is offered here.

To prepare classic dishes so well and so authentically that one is awarded toques for it - this and the combination of traditional dishes with Mediterranean inspiration distinguish the Rialto Bistro in the centre of Gstaad.

Glacier and a ‘Chic’ Chalet Town.

Come up – slow down; this is the motto of the world famous, traffic-free chalet town of Gstaad in the Berner Oberland. Six months of winter sports are guaranteed here as the skiing area stretches up to the Les Diablerets glacier at an altitude of 3,000 metres.
