Discover a world in which everything revolves around leisure and enjoyment. 350 instructors of the ESF Val d’Isère with a thorough experience will always accompany you with empathy and perfect teaching skills. This experience goes back until 1936 as pioneers set up the first ski school in France – the Ecole Française de Ski – in Val d’Isère.

The French hotel categorisation system was reorganised and, in accordance with this, the Hotel Le Blizzard was awarded with five-stars because it has been offering such luxury for a long time.

BMW Snow Golf Cup Val d'Isère.

Val d'Isère, the romantic chalet village in the French Alps, has a special highlight off the pistes this winter season: the BMW Winter Golf Cup 2017 will be held from 22th - 26th March - a renowned tournament which includes four exciting competitions - ensuring a thrilling experience not just for golf enthusiasts.


Hotel Le Savoie.

A highlight for winter sports fans with sophisticated tastes: the five-star Le Savoie luxury hotel is situated in the midst of the magnificent Savoy Alps and is appreciated by adults and children alike for its family-style charm and simple elegance.


Hotel Avenue Lodge*****.

Anyone who finds dark colours threatening is not in the right place here, but those who appreciate black, dark brown and clarity of design will love the stylish Hotel Avenue Lodge. It is situated directly on the main shopping street of Val d’Isère, not far from the lifts of the local mountain, Bellevarde.


Hotel Christiania *****.

In the 1950s and 1960s it was the first building on the square. It is where films stars and other wealthy individuals from all over the world used to stay. Beginning with the Winter Olypics in Val d‘Isère in 1992 and almost every year ever since, the five-star Hotel Christiania has been modernised without losing any of its familiar charm.

Restaurant L’Atelier d’Edmond****.

Two kilometres outside Val d’Isère, in the town of Le Fornet, there are two chefs who together have been awarded four Michelin stars; “L’Atelier d’Edmond” is the address for gourmets and it opens at noon and in the evenings.


Restaurant Le Grain de Sel.

In the traditional five-star hotel, “Le Savoie”, which is situated directly on Val d’Isère’s main shopping street, there is a virtuoso young chef, Alexandre Fabris, aged 28, who likes to combine his grandmother’s recipes with modern ideas in “Le Grain de Sel”.

The colours of Val d’Isère, red, white and black, are reflected in the architecturally-sophisticated Aquasport Centre. Guests are immersed in a luxury spa temple; the Badewelt (bathing world), saunas, massages, as well as fitness and indoor sports, such as bouldering or badminton, all come together under one roof.

“La folie douce”, the gentle madness, is the name of this piste hot spot in Val d’Isère near the La Daille cable car. It features an open air dance floor with DJs playing music from lounge to electro.

Follow the traces of Jean-Claude Killy.

300 km pistes from 1,550 to 3,450 metres. Season from the 27th November to the 1st May. The three-time Olympic champion, Jean-Claude Killy, was born here and the association with Tignes was named “Espace Killy” after him.
